China has sharply criticized the investigation launched by the European Commission into Chinese wind-turbine suppliers operating in Europe on suspicions of unfair competition. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce called the EU investigation a protectionist act, saying it arbitrarily distorts the facts in the definition of subsidies, while the procedural standard was neither open nor transparent and it impaired fair conditions of competition.
