A former cleaner was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder by a court in Germany on Friday after confessing to a fatal attack on an elderly woman last year. The defendant, a 30-year-old woman, admitted to beating, kicking and stabbing the 86-year-old woman in her apartment in the western German city of Essen.
