The German aid organization Sea-Eye has brought more than 140 refugees, mainly from Syria and Somalia, from the Mediterranean Sea to the port of Reggio Calabria in southern Italy. The ship Sea-Eye 4 landed in the town on the strait between Sicily and the Italian mainland on Sunday after a two-and-a-half-week mission, the group said. They had been picked up in the migrants past week from boats that had made the dangerous journey across the Mediterranean to Europe from Africa, a spokesman said.
