After 16 years of negotiations, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and India signed a free trade agreement on Sunday. The agreement eliminates customs duties and was signed by the economic ministers of India and the non-EU EFTA states Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland in New Delhi. It calls for the group to invest $100 billion in India over the next 15 years to create many jobs, Indian Trade Minister Piyush Goyal said.
