The EU Parliament has voted overwhelmingly in favour of measures to make the origin of honey easier to recognize in future. The majority of MEPs, 603, voted in favour of the proposal in Brussels, nine voted against and 10 abstained, the parliament said on Wednesday evening. Parliamentary negotiators and their counterparts from the EU member states had already agreed in principle on the new rules at the end of January.
