Thatcham Town Council has been looking at introducing a school run parking permit scheme to the town. The plan, which imitates the nationally practiced ‘Park and Stride’ scheme, was suggested by West Berkshire Council. The proposal is for Francis Baily Primary School on Skillman Drive. It is hoped that the initiative will promote active travel. The proposed pilot parking location is Dunstan Green Car Park.
