Two more arrests have been made after a serious assault at a town centre bar. A man and a woman were assaulted at Ye Olde Golden Magpie bar in New Rents, Ashford on June 30, with police called shortly before 11pm. They were both injured and the man was taken to William Harvey Hospital for treatment. A 25-year-old man was arrested yesterday, on Wednesday July 10, and released on bail. Today, Thursday July 11, detectives arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of assault and he currently remains in custody.
