Fly-tipped cardboard boxes and black sacks stretching along “five car lengths” have blocked a country road. Three Gates Road in Longfield has been left completely impassable after mountains of rubbish, including blanks of wood, were dumped on the road between noon and 1pm today. The road stretches between Scratchers Lane and Speedgate Hill and the blockage has left residents facing a diversion around the lanes of more than one and half miles, according to one resident.
