Recall that OnePlus Ace 3 was announced in black, blue, and rose gold earlier this year in China. All three variants had a glass back panel. It looks like the Wisdom Pikachu tipster might be talking about the OnePlus Ace 5 in the above Weibo post. It shows that it could arrive in a ceramic body. He also said that the phone will feature a battery with a capacity of around 6,000 mAh. A recent report has already said that the Ace 5 will have a 6,000mAh dual-cell battery that supports 100W fast charging. Like its predecessor, it will lack support for wireless charging.
Under the hood, OnePlus Ace 5 will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. For photography, the device will be equipped with a 50-megapixel triple camera setup. It is expected to run on Android 15 operating system based on OxygenOS 15.
The Ace 5 will reportedly have a 6.78-inch OLED panel with curved edges with micro curvature. The 8T LTPO panel will have a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition, the device will also feature a notification slider.
The OnePlus Ace 5 is expected to compete with the Redmi K80, which will also be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The K80 series is expected to be launched in November this year in China.
