BUFFALO, N.Y. — A few days before the Blues’ 3-1 win over the Sabres, the nucleus of a Blues victory was soaking up the sun in the Bahamas. During an 11-day break for the All-Star Game and bye week, roommates Jake Neighbours and Joel Hofer spent time on a Bahamian beach and returned from vacation to lead the Blues past Buffalo on Saturday afternoon. Neighbours scored two goals and Hofer made 33 saves as the Blues earned their sixth win in seven games.
