By Bradley Jolly Violent thunderstorms will today bring an abrupt end to the glorious sunny weather most of the UK has enjoyed this week. Yellow weather warnings are in place for large swathes of the country for storms, which will lead to difficult driving conditions, a risk of flooding and power cuts. The heaviest of these will be across north Wales this afternoon and, this evening, most of Scotland will experience heavy rain.
