Bulgaria has postponed the collection of transit fees for Russian natural gas on Monday so it would not jeopardize its desired Schengen accession due to possible objections from Hungary. The fees, which were introduced in October, were to be paid by the Russian gas company Gazprom, but it could affect the prices for Hungary and Serbia, for which Bulgaria transits Russian gas.
