Realme was recently rumored to be working on a new and improved fast charging technology. Now the company has officially announced that the 320W SuperSonic charger will be unveiled this week.
As a reminder, the 300-watt Realme charger was featured in a video that demonstrated an impressive charging speed. In just 35 seconds, the battery charge of the device being charged increased from 0 to 17 percent. It’s worth noting that this charging technology is not completely new. Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand demonstrated its 300W charger last year. It was demonstrated on the Redmi Note 12, which has a 4,100 mAh battery that charged from 0 to 100 percent in just 5 minutes.
So, the latest teaser confirms that it surpasses the 300W charging mark and suggests that it is a direct successor to the brand’s 240W fast charging technology. For those not in the know, the company introduced the Realme GT5 back in 2023 with a 4600 mAh battery and 240W wired fast charging. Realme claimed that this phone could charge 20 percent in just 80 seconds, 50 percent in 4 minutes, and fully in 9 minutes.
The three-day event will take place in China from August 13 to 15. The 320W SuperSonic charger is expected to be an exclusive preview of the brand’s latest signature innovations. We can also expect technology demonstrations beyond charging, such as artificial intelligence, performance, image processing, and more.
