Two hostages from Israel held by the Palestinian Islamist Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip have been rescued, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said early on Monday. The IDF said that a 60-year-old and a 70-year-old were rescued during a joint operation on Sunday night in the southern Gaza city of Rafah. “They are both in good medical condition, and were transferred for medical examination at the Sheba Tel Hashomer hospital,” the IDF said in a Telegram post.
