More than 100 German citizens have applied for temporary protection in Russia this year, the authories in Moscow said on Tuesday. The spokeswoman for the Russian Interior Ministry said there had been 111 German applicants in the first nine months of the year. This is several times the number for 2022. There were also 84 applications for temporary protection from the Baltic states, spokeswoman Irina Volk told the Interfax agency.
