Michelle Atherton had been passenger in a Ford Fiesta which smashed into a bin lorry in a head-on crash, in St Helens, Merseyside, on July 5 last year. Her boyfriend, Kevin Marsh, had drank gin and snorted cocaine before he crashed, killing the 47-year-old.
