The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, together with other ministries, continues to bring services online so that citizens can forget about bureaucracy, corruption and long waits. The team is currently working on more than 100 services at various stages of readiness. Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov spoke about 5 of them in his column for LIGA.net.
1. Online marriage
The world’s first service that allows you to get married in the Diia app in a few clicks. Beta testers of the service register an official marriage from a distance and evaluate the innovation. 5 couples have already married. The service will soon be available to all Ukrainians.
2. Electronic booking
The Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Defense are working on the service. Digitalization of booking eliminates the human factor and speeds up the process from several weeks to an hour. Soon the service will be available on the Diia portal for the first category of enterprises – critical and those that meet the needs of the Defense Forces.
3. Certificates of birth, marriage, divorce, change of personal data
Soon, birth certificates of children will be automatically pulled up in Diia. And later, your marriage, divorce, and name change certificates. You will need them when applying for a job, confirming a name change, or applying for benefits.
4. Weapons permits
The Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are working to ensure that the Diia app displays information about weapons permits and allows ordering an extract from the Unified Register of Weapons in a few clicks.
5. Diia.Signature for legal entities
Diia.Signature for individuals is a tool that greatly simplifies interaction with the state. It will soon be available for legal entities as well. This will significantly speed up business operations, simplify processes, and make the actions of entrepreneurs more transparent. The government has already adopted the relevant resolution, and the team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is working on developing the functionality.
