Google came a step closer to having to pay a more than €2 billion ($2.2 billion) fine for allegedly exploiting its dominant market position in the EU to favour its own price comparison service. The advocate general of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) said Google had done just that in her opinion made public on Thursday. The advocate general is charged with presenting the court with an impartial assessment of the case. The court is expected to rule in a few months.
