A life member of a rugby club has been elected as its new president. Members of Newark Rugby Club met last week at their annual general meeting in which they have elected Andrew Fearn as the club’s new president. Andrew, who is also a former chairman of the Kelham Road club, takes over from Tim Barker who stands down after a two-year period. Chairman John Clark thanked Tim for his outstanding efforts in which he also served as director of rugby.
