National leaders of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) are seeking to distance the party from Bavarian politician Daniel Halemba, who is facing a criminal investigation for incitement to hatred and using banned symbols. The AfD’s national executive committee urged the Bavarian state AfD to expel Halemba from the party, a party spokesman told dpa on Tuesday.
