Thousands of motorists have signed a petition and are weighing up legal action over a decision to go ahead with “incredibly harsh” speeding fines near the London-Kent border. The speed limit has been “temporarily” dropped from 70mph and 50mph to 40mph on sections between the Crittall’s Corner roundabout at Sidcup and the Swanley BP garage.
