A group of volunteers who have access to all areas of a prison and ensure prisoners’ human rights are maintained is appealing for new members. The Independent Monitoring Board (IMB) is looking for people to join the monitoring team at HMP Lowdham Grange. They have access to every area of the prison, talk to the prisoners and staff, and report back on any concerns they have. The work of IMB volunteers is important to ensure proper standards in the prison, as required in law, but is not for everyone.
