A council has agreed to trial a new weedkiller to help cut down the manual labour required of its grounds staff. Southwell Town Council’s Town Environment committee has approved plans to purchase a manufactured weed killer for use on its land. It had previously used a home-made weedkiller, which was less effective and meant grounds staff had spent 90 hours of labour weeding the Market Square.
