USC defensive lineman Bear Alexander was named to the 2024 Bednarik Award preseason watch list on Monday. The award, given annually since 1995, goes to the defensive player of the year chosen by the Maxwell Football Club. Alexander was the only Trojans among the 90 players named to the watch list. This is the third major preseason watch list for Alexander, who also landed on the 2024 Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Outland Trophy Watch Lists.
