A federal judge has denied former President Donald Trump his try to buy a week in the in E. Jean Carroll’s rape defamation case in order to grieve the loss of his mother-in-law. “The application is DENIED,” reads U.S. District Court Judge Lewis Kaplan’s order filed on Friday. “The trial shall begin at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 16 as scheduled.
