A Monmouth County man was convicted of attempted murder in the stabbing of his ex-girlfriend as she was cooking at a friend’s home, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office announced Tuesday. Amando Miguel-Ortiz, 37, of Asbury Park, was found guilty on Friday following a weeklong trial before state Superior Court Judge Jill G. O’Malley.
