Five people have been charged after hundreds of kilos of cannabis with a street value of £3.9 million were seized at Stansted Airport. Two shipments of the drug, totalling 390kg (860lb or 61.4st), were intercepted by Border Force officers on January 26 and 27. A previous shipment of 300kg of a substance believed to be cannabis was delivered to an address in Hayes, west London, on January 11 and was linked to the airport seizures.
