There was plenty of action at Lynn on Saturday when the much anticipated Brook’s Bilge Bonanza took place. Celebrating a career of more than 30 years in national bangers of perennial entertainer Stu Brooks, this meeting excluded cars which dominate the modern scene. It was great to see several top Lynn pilots back behind the wheel with stars of yesteryear Paul Bowen and Ady Groome both in action. Both drivers were in action in the 1600cc banger class and both enjoyed success with Bowen getting an eighth-place finish in his heat.
