Consumers in the European Union should be able to read the country of origin of honey on the label in future, according to the European Parliament. Members of parliament voted on Tuesday in favour of the so-called Breakfast Directive, according to which other products such as fruit juices, jams, jellies or marmalades must also indicate the country of origin of the fruit used on the front label.
