A busy Cambridge road will be closed to cars from tonight (Monday, 12 February) for repairs to take place. Trumpington Street will be shut between Lensfield Road and Botolph Lane from 8pm to 6am on weekdays until 20 February. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout the works, which are being completed by Cambridgeshire County Council. The works include ‘crack sealing’ to prevent the carriageway from deteriorating further, as untreated cracks can lead to potholes opening up.
