Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro, the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset phones, in October in China. Redmi is rumored to unveil the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro, powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Gen 4 chipsets respectively, in November in China. Today, a Digital Chat Station insider published a post on Weibo to reveal key information about the alleged Redmi K80 Pro.
Redmi K80 Pro key features, design (rumored)
The aforementioned leak suggests that the Redmi K80 Pro will feature a flat OLED display with a single camera hole and thin bezels. Previous reports claimed that the screen will support 2K resolution and integrate an under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Under the hood, the Redmi K80 Pro is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. On the back of the phone, there will be a triple camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with a large sensor and a telephoto camera. Previous reports claimed that it will be a 50-megapixel telephoto lens that will support 3x optical zoom.
The insider added that the K80 Pro will have a round camera module located in the upper left corner. Unlike the K70 Pro, the K80 Pro’s camera module will not have decorative studs. Speaking further about the design, the insider said that the Redmi K80 Pro will have a glass back and a metal center frame.
The insider didn’t say anything about the battery capacity of the alleged Redmi K80 Pro. Back in May, the insider claimed that it would have a 5500 mAh battery. However, a contradictory leak from another source last month suggested that it might have a 6000 mAh battery. It is also expected to support 120W fast charging.
