WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd has released initial information regarding a deputy-involved shooting that took place in the Oakwood Estates neighborhood of Winter Haven on Friday night, July 12, 2024, around 9:30 pm. The incident began when a white male suspect arrived at his grandmother’s house in the community, and a disturbance ensued.
