A passer-by has caught a one-year-old boy who fell from a third floor window of a residential building in the western German city of Darmstadt, police said on Friday. The child sustained minor injuries in the fall and was taken to hospital as a precaution, the police reported. Another shock then followed: While the 29-year-old mother was taking the toddler to hospital, a fire broke out in her flat, with the boy’s seven-year-old brother reportedly still inside.
