Germany’s Economy Ministry has given the green light for the funding of projects to build a European cloud infrastructure, despite a budget crisis that has left a multibillion-euro shortfall for 2024. As the ministry announced on Tuesday in response to an enquiry, projects from SAP, Deutsche Telekom and Siemens will be supported with around €450 million ($486 million).
