Tokito Oda’s bid to win his third consecutive Grand Slam men’s wheelchair tennis tournament ended Friday with a semifinal loss to Spain’s Martin de la Puente at Wimbledon. De la Puente defeated the top-seeded Japanese 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 after winning seven of his 11 break points. Oda committed 25 unforced errors.
