Philips has launched the Evnia 34M2C6500 gaming monitor on June 12, 2024. The new model has a 34-inch curved screen with WQHD (3440 x 1440) resolution and uses a QD OLED panel for a crisp and vivid image.

The 1800R’s screen curvature aims to immerse gamers in gaming sessions by providing a deeper immersion into the gameplay. The Smart Crosshair feature is a key feature that automatically changes the color of the crosshair to stand out against different gaming backgrounds, helping players to aim more accurately.

This monitor features DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 technology, which delivers high contrast and brightness for sharper, more detailed images. It also supports a 175Hz refresh rate for a smooth and fast gaming experience.

Philips has incorporated Ambiglow backlighting technology into the monitor, which enhances the atmosphere by synchronizing the backlight with the action on the screen. For comfort, the monitor is equipped with an adjustable stand that allows users to easily set the perfect viewing angle. The monitor has a variety of connectivity options, including HDMI, DisplayPort and USB ports.

Price and availability

Philips has set the price at £699.99 in the UK and €869 in the Eurozone, making it an attractive option for gamers looking for high-end features without the extra cost.

By the way, Philips recently debuted another monitor on the Chinese market called Philips 24E1N1520. It has a 24-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and 8-bit color depth. However, the monitor is more productivity-oriented than gaming, as it has a refresh rate of only 100 Hz, making it quite inexpensive with a price of 699 yuan ($96).
