Parts of the Dartford Crossing will be closed this weekend for repairs. National Highways has confirmed the QEII bridge – which connects Essex to Kent – will be shut for overnight safety checks and maintenance. It will be closed from 10pm tonight (January 13) and will reopen at 5am tomorrow (January 14). Traffic will be diverted through the east-bore tunnel while the west tunnel will be open as usual.
