A large pub-restaurant has reopened under new owners following a six-figure transformation. The Wheatsheaf in Swalecliffe, near Whitstable, closed in October for the renovation and has now changed hands from the Hungry Horse chain to Greene King. Pictures show drastic changes to the site in Herne Bay road, including a new outdoor play area and a heated pergola. The garden has been extended to provide new outdoor seating areas and there is a covered TV screen showing Sky Sports.
