An ice skater from Ompton has won medals at the inaugural Special Olympics Great Britain National Winter Games in Folgaria, Italy. Meg McFarlane won the Ice Dance competition and finished third in the free skating at the event. The week-long competition featured both alpine skiing and figure skating competitions.
