The moment a drink-driver smashed down a lamppost and telegraph pole then ploughed through two garden fences on the A10 was caught on camera. Uninsured Callum Mcintosh, 32, of St Bede’s Crescent, Cambridge, was driving a black BMW when he came off the road, took out the posts and sent the fence panels flying on Ely Road just after 7.30am on 23 March. Mcintosh was seen to climb out of the driver’s window – but later claimed he was the passenger and the driver had run away.
