Results might have papered over some reasonably unconvincing performances straight after the international break but Newcastle turned on the style on Saturday. Eddie Howe’s side utterly dismantled a sorry Tottenham side at St James’ Park to renew hope of a top-six finish in the Premier League. Newcastle are now surely in the driving seat in that battle.
