More than 20 barges broke loose on the Ohio River in Western Pennsylvania on Friday causing the temporary closure of a bridge, according to a report. The 26 barges, 23 of which were loaded and three were empty, broke free late night near Pittsburgh and floated down the Ohio River, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported. The McKees Rock Bridge was temporarily closed but reopened after an inspection. There were no reports of injury.
