Japan women’s basketball team will play New Zealand twice in Tokyo in July to warm up for the Paris Olympics, the Japan Basketball Association said Tuesday. Japan, the Tokyo Olympics silver medalist and currently ninth in the world rankings, plays 26th-ranked New Zealand on July 4 and 6 at Ariake Arena. Japan men’s team, 26th in the world, will play 50th-ranked South Korea also at the same venue on July 5 and 7.
