Since the beginning of the Russian war against Ukraine, 341 cultural sites have been damaged in the Eastern European country, according to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Among the most severely damaged buildings is the Transfiguration Cathedral in the historic centre of Odessa, which is a World Heritage Site, UNESCO said in Paris on Tuesday.
