A New York-based biochemical company has settled allegations \- from the Attorney Generals’ Offices of three states – of failing to adequately protect personal data of over 330,000 customers, New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin announced Tuesday. Enzo Biochem, a New York company, agreed to pay $4.5 million in a consent order with prosecutors after being accused of failing to adequately safeguard the personal and private health information of its patients.
