A battle is brewing over a small Jersey Shore school district’s bid to merge with one of New Jersey’s largest school districts. Seaside Heights’ school board voted unanimously last week in favor of its K-6 school district joining the Toms River Regional School District. In a separate meeting, the Toms River Regional school board voted 7-2 in support of accepting Seaside Heights’ students.
