A busy road has been closed in both directions after a crash near a pedestrian crossing. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, have been called to the A226 London Road in Swanscombe. Motorists have been warned of queuing traffic due to the police incident between Lovers Lane and Craylands Lane. Police have been asked for more information. Earlier today, the fire service and officers were called to nearby Church Road after a fire in the early hours. As a result, three people were taken to hospital, and the force is still investigating.
