Meta, the parent company of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, intends to purchase some of its renewable electricity from the German energy group RWE, the company announced on Wednesday. Two long-term electricity supply contracts have been concluded with Meta for two solar parks currently under construction in the United States, the German energy conglomerate said.
