A fourth community archaeology dig will take place in Bishop’s Stortford Castle Park next month. On Tuesday, June 18, there will be a meeting in the Markwell Studio for those who have already expressed an interest in taking part in the two-week excavation. From 7pm to 9pm, Friends of Castle Park Archaeology Group will outline their objectives, explain the opportunities on offer – from digging to finds washing and data logging – and answer questions as well as signposting the booking process.
