Prominent Russian sociology professor and anti-war activist Boris Kagarlitsky has been sentenced to five years in prison by an appeals court in Moscow for allegedly justifying terrorism. The judgement came into force immediately on Tuesday and the 65-year-old defendant was arrested in the courtroom, Interfax news agency reported.
